I love always keeping a jar full of corn handy in my kitchen. And although extremely easy to make, I feel like a kid watching a simple ingredient being magically transformed into one of her favourite snacks right before her eyes !
1 Tbsp Mazola oil (or any other vegetable oil)
1/2 cup corn
1Tbsp melted butter
Salt to taste
Pour the oil and the corn in a medium covered pan on high heat and slightly shake the pan while keeping it tightly covered. The corn will start popping in less than a minute. You know it’s over when you count up to 3 and you don’t hear any more corn popping.
Remove from the stove and let it rest covered for a minute. Pour the melted butter, add the salt, mix well and voilà !
